Dr. Gholamreza Ghaffari, Professor in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Tehran, obtained his PhD in Sociology from the University of Tehran (1995–2001). His prominent professional experiences and positions include Deputy for Cultural and Social Affairs of the Minister of Science, Deputy for Scientific Affairs (Education and Graduate Studies) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (2014–2016), Consultant to the Planning Group (2014–2016), Representative of the Executive Board for Faculty Recruitment (2010–2013), Thesis Supervisor (2011–2013), and membership in the Evaluation Board of Baqir al-Uloom University (2016–2018). With the publication of over 45 articles in the fields of social welfare and development, and serving as Secretary of the 10th International Farabi Festival (2017), he holds a prominent position in the sociology of planning and social welfare.
